On Monday, January 26th, a highly touched crowd gathered in the Church of the “Padri Giuseppini” Order for a last farewell to Girolamo Mario Trevisan, brilliant entrepreneur and founder of the machine-tool company that bears his name.

Mr. Trevisan was not a mere supplier, but a partner and a friend, with whom Calpeda had already established since the end of the 60’s a relationship of great dialogue and reciprocal exchange in the common goal of seeking new technical and constructive solutions.

We recall with great fondness the testimony he offered and that can be read in the book that Calpeda published for its 50th Anniversary: “Calpeda’s factory embodies the history of the Trevisan machine tools: from the transfer equipment to the numerical control machines and robotised machining centres. It is a story that contains all the fundamental ingredients of engineering and illustrates the beauty of working with master craftsmen”.
